Installation

Follow these steps to install the AlumnIQ Sync Package into your Salesforce environment:

Prerequisites

  1. Ensure you have Salesforce Administrator access.

  2. Verify that your Salesforce instance supports package installations.

Installation Steps

  1. Access the Package Installation Link Open a support ticket in your AlumnIQ instance to obtain the installation link for the AlumnIQ Sync Package.

  2. Log in to Salesforce Open the installation link in your browser. You will be prompted to log in to your Salesforce account. You will be provided an installation key.

  3. Choose the Installation Scope Select the appropriate installation option:

    • Install for Admins Only: Recommended for installing as user permissions will be granted with permission sets.

  4. Acknowledge Third-Party Access If prompted, check the box to grant third-party access required by the package.

  5. Start the Installation Click the Install button. The installation process may take a few minutes.

  6. Verify Installation After installation, navigate to Setup > Installed Packages to confirm that the AlumnIQ Sync Package is listed.

Post-Installation Configuration

  1. Assign Permissions Assign the "AlumnIQ User" permission set group to the appropriate users or profiles have the necessary permissions to use the package. Assign the "AlumnIQ Admin" permisson set group to the select users/profiles that will need to have full access to modify the records.

  2. Test the Application Users with the assigned permission sets/groups will now have the AlumnIQ App available in the App launcher.
