Including Warehouse Data

Every night (more or less) your institiution ships a lot of data to AlumnIQ. Some of that data may include:

  • CFY/PFY donor indicators

  • current volunteer flags

  • giving society indicators

  • trustee flags

And maybe you would love to have some of those fields in your event reports.

Mapping Fields

We do not automatically include warehouse fields in reports because (a) there are a lot of them and (b) it's probably overdisclosure for most audiences.

What we do instead is make it possible for you to select which field(s) to make available for inclusion - thus limiting their spread.

Go to:

Events > Reports > Warehouse Data in Reports

There you can select a field, give it a friendly label for the Excel header, and map it.

This area is available only to those with the ems:reports:warehousemap role so you can keep a close eye on data governance and distribution.

Including Fields in Reports

Mapped fields are availalble in the following reports:

  • event registrants

  • activity registrants

  • scheduled event

When making your export field inclusions, look for the section titled Additional Warehouse Data. This section will only appear if at least one field is mapped.

Under that heading is one checkbox - mapped warehouse fields. You'll see which fields are included and their origin.

It's that easy!
