Scheduled Page Updates

Every project reaches certain milestones, and it's at these critical junctures that the project's focus often undergoes a shift. Let's consider an example: suppose you're about to launch a crowdfunding project. Before the launch, it's necessary to add a "coming soon" message to the page. But it can be tedious to wait around just to submit page edits that replace your "coming soon" message with celebratory language as soon as the project goes live.

Here are some other instances where you might need to make timely changes to your project page:

  • If a challenge related to your project has been set up, you might want to add a banner to the project description to draw attention to it.

  • As the project nears its end and you're tantalizingly close to your goal, you might want to build up some last-minute excitement.

  • Once the project wraps up, it's time to switch gears and celebrate the achievement of your goals, as well as express your gratitude to the donors who made it all possible.

What elements can you change in a scheduled page update?

In order to keep your page fresh and engaging, you have a number of options for what elements you can change in a scheduled update:

  • You could introduce a new hero image to give your project a fresh face.

  • You might want to revise the main description to keep it up-to-date with the project's progress.

  • You even have the option to completely overhaul your setup for social media shares, allowing you to tailor your message for different platforms or audiences.

If you're managing multiple locales, you can also specify different updates for each one to cater to the unique needs of each audience.

Note: As of now, we recommend that you arrange your page updates in a continuous sequence, avoiding any gaps in time or overlapping updates. There are many future scenarios that we're looking forward to supporting. However, we're still working on determining the best logical approach for these, such as having a base update that covers the entire duration of the project, with shorter updates interspersed for specific highlights or callouts.
