Employer Match

You may optionally enable a field to collect the donor's employer for matching gift purposes. We support the following options:

• Double the Donation's 360MatchPro - requires separate license

• Free Text - The donor can enter any text they wish

• No employer match section is presented

Each option appears on the same page as other personal demographic questions.

360MatchPro

Double the Donation's 360MatchPro is the industry-leading solution for matching gift fundraising. The platform provides tools to identify match-eligible donors, drive matches to completion, and gain actionable insights.

360MatchPro integrates directly into the giving form to capture employment information and follow up appropriately with donors about matching gifts.

Setup

To enable 360MatchPro:

1. Contact Double the Donation to obtain your API keys

2. Navigate to Giving > Settings in admin

3. Enter your public and private keys in the 360MatchPro section

Automatic Registration

As each gift is completed, AlumnIQ registers the match in 360MatchPro immediately. This sends:

• Donor information

• Appeal code used

• Today's payment amount

For recurring, installment, or perpetual gifts, we send each subsequent payment to 360MatchPro as it's collected. This gives 360MatchPro a running total of payments and enables them to advise donors on subjects like minimum gift thresholds for employer matching.

Every payment against a gift and pledge is sent.

If a payment cannot be registered immediately, we retry during a daily cleanup process.

API Responses

AlumnIQ API endpoints for pledges, gifts, and gift payments include:

• employerName - The employer name entered by the donor

• companyId - The ID matching 360MatchPro's system

• dateTimeMatchingGiftInfoSent - When the payment was registered

• matchingGiftRegistered - Whether registration succeeded

Free Text

You can collect employer names without a third-party service contract. The employer name field accepts any text the donor enters, without typeahead suggestions or normalization to a company database.

For free text entries, employerId is recorded as -2.

If you see a -1 for an employerId, that means the employer was not found/matched against company lists from your third-party employer matching system.
