Summary

This release introduces significant improvements and updates to the IQ Salesforce integration, focusing primarily on reporting, contact/constituent relationship, field management, and layout enhancements.

Highlights

  • Reporting Enhancements

    • Updated IQ objects to support more flexible and comprehensive reporting capabilities.

  • Contact/Constituent & Event Participant Relationship

    • Added a direct contact/constituent relationship for event participants, increasing the accuracy and usefulness of event-related data.

  • Relaxed filters and required fields

    • Removed lookup filter rules that restricted related IQ objects based on the IQEID field
    • All IQEID (now IQREF) fields are no longer required (which they shouldn’t have been in 1.0). This allows easier manual record creation for non-AlumnIQ event loads

  • Field Deprecation & Naming

    • Deprecated numeric IQEID fields, replacing them with appropriately typed text fields.
    • Standardized external ID field naming from IQEID to IQREF and type from numeric to text(50) for clarity and consistency.
    • All fields marked IQREF should be treated as AlumnIQ-populated only and shouldn’t be set for any non-AlumnIQ records

  • Permissions & Layouts

    • Expanded the permission set to include all relevant new fields.
    • Cleaned up and improved layouts for both event and participant objects, increasing usability.
